Female Dwarves CAN be Beautiful!

Q u o t e:
Title says it all, what right have you to say that female dwarves cannot be beautiful!

Crygil wrote:

Female dwarves ARE beautiful, those who say otherwise are simply jealous of the their inherent dwarven beauty.

This thread’s fallen far off the deep end, particularly since the original poster ended up linking an article offensive and hyperbolic enough to warrant him not returning to here.

Community Interviews: Enigma

March 10th, 2010 by BronxBot

Zarhym wrote:

We’ve updated World of Warcraft’s five-year anniversary site to include a frank interview with Fraya, the leader of the Enigma guild on the Deathwing realm. In the interview, we speak with Fraya about his most memorable moments over five years of playing, Enigma’s experience in high-end raiding, and where the guild expects to find itself in Cataclysm and beyond.

GM’s minning underneath Wintergrasp?!?!?

March 10th, 2010 by BronxBot

Q u o t e:

Yarly

GM’s are the ‘police’ of wow so they are being compared.

mmmdurrrrrrrrr

Zarhym wrote:

I really don’t understand why government employees are being compared to Blizzard employees, regardless of whether or not game masters enforce rules. You don’t choose where your tax dollars go or to which laws you’re bound other than by voting for who you think will best represent you.

You pay Blizzard, a private software development company, for services as described in the Terms of Use, and are bound by the regulations therein.

GM’s minning underneath Wintergrasp?!?!?

March 10th, 2010 by BronxBot

Q u o t e:

Do you remember how that guy got a shirt in the mail it had a "Use: Kill enemies around him"

How did he receive this in the mail? I just always assumed an angry ex worker conjured it up and mailed it to a random player, before he got fired, but if no GMs have that power on live servers… where did the shirt come from?

Zarhym wrote:

Items exist for testing purposes on internal realms. This makes them technically available on live realms, though unobtainable anywhere in the game. There are times where our account specialists will need to restore items for players, which involves typing in item IDs…

GM’s minning underneath Wintergrasp?!?!?

March 10th, 2010 by BronxBot

Q u o t e:

I have a question…

Why wasn’t a GM just parked under WG to watch who was hacking instead of letting them go on for weeks while whatever ‘other ways’ of detection you had took time to work?

Zarhym wrote:

It’s a matter of resources. It would be a colossal waste to staff enough people to sit under Wintergrasp 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on every realm around the world to pluck people off one at a time.

Q u o t e:
Everyone was telling you where it was happening all day every day, why didn’t you just go there ‘manually’ on live servers and look at the names?

I’m only able to go into so much detail here, but this is sort of a continuation of my first answer.

Blizzard doesn’t care

March 9th, 2010 by BronxBot

Q u o t e:

So what do I have to do to get an actual response?

Should I say something like "WG IS UNBALANCED qqqqqqqqqqqqqqq" "Horde is favored in bgs nerf them waaaa"

or

"What do you think such such would look like as another colour? Do you think Arthas and Jaina woulda had cute kids?"

or

"Hey Zarhym, I miss you you’re the best! I<3 you so much, please reply so I can spam refresh and get a "FIRST!!!" "

I know you don’t have the man power to answer everything, but from reading the forums the past couple months and seeing the things that do get replied to and do get answers are a complete slap in the face. I don’t want to sit here and try to tell you how to do your job I know it’s stressful but the people who actually enjoy arena at a high level of play would like a bone thrown our way once in a while.

You should leave this thread knowing you’re not guaranteed a response to anything here on the forums, and what you consider to be the most pressing issue of the day probably isn’t a view shared by the majority of the posters here. It is part of our job to interact with the community on many different levels, both in serious and light-hearted matters, while also taking on numerous tasks behind the scenes.

Blizzard doesn’t care

March 9th, 2010 by BronxBot

Q u o t e:

This is the only sentence that I had problems with. During the recent Love is in the Air event, I think Blizz was no where near forthcoming and informative.

What in the world would make me think an item with no duration would stay in my bags after the event was over…..hummm, maybe the fact that I STILL have moonbeam and rocket cluster carp still in them after the Lunar Festival ended.

I usually never QQ, and mostly just try and roll with the flow - but the Valentine event put a bad taste in my mouth - over something that could have easily been avoided. If you couldn’t easily fix the tooltips, then leave things alone and let the items stay - and learn YOUR lesson, but don’t learn YOUR lesson at OUR expense.

Zarhym wrote:

I understand your concern. That said, for the purposes of backing up what I stated and you quoted out of context, we were as informative and forthcoming as possible regarding that situation. We did make a mistake with these items, however we did not want them to last forever and could not update the tooltips without a client-side patch.
